During the COVID social distancing period the Council has had to make changes to the pavements and pedestrian flow for safety reasons. Cllr Pauline Jorgensen is responsible for Highways and Transport in Wokingham Borough and she explained that this has forced to temporarily close a few disabled spaces in the following streets, the alternatives are identified below or being worked on.

All 4 blue badge bays in Peach Street are available, unless Denmark street is closed as it was on Friday and Saturday
In addition blue badge holders are able to park on single and double yellow lines for up to 3hrs providing they don’t obstruct the flow of traffic (for instance there is space for about 4-6 vehicles on double yellow lines in Rose Street).
