Cllrs UllaKarin Clark, Philip Mirfin and Chris Singleton attended the recent Joel Park Residents Association flood walk, and spoke to residents about concerns over flooding.

The flood walk was organised to draw attention to flooding issues afflicting the Emm Brook and how residents and relevant agencies could work together to alleviate these. Interest was very high and, as a direct result of this, the Environment Agency has agreed to investigate pollarding trees along the stretch of land between Clifton Road properties and the school. Thames Water are looking into the condition of drains along Sewell Avenue so we hope two issues will be addressed as a result of the walk.
