Hatch Farm Development

Many Winnersh residents have expressed concerns over the Hatch Farm development and Cllrs Liz Siggery and Philip Houldsworth have worked throughout the process to ensure your voices are heard at Wokingham Borough Council.

An application in October for approval of the Winnersh Relief road and for the development of 433 houses in principle was heard.

Philip and Liz had some concerns about the number of affordable houses in the plans which were below the Borough’s current guidelines and the need to complete the Relief Road in its entirety before any houses are occupied.

Philip and Liz questionned Planning Chairman Simon Weeks, asking for clarity over the deliverability of the entire relief road. Cllr Weeks agreed that approval  would be conditional upon the Relief Road being complete and that no houses could be sold until the road’s completion. With this proviso the plans were finally approved in November.
