Cllr Parry Batth has negotiated with Christian Bunt, the LPA Commander for Wokingham to police the whole of the Shinfield North ward using Wokingham police resources.
Up to 1st October 2012, Shinfield North was policed by Reading Police as well as Wokingham police. This led to confusion for some residents of the ward. To end this confusion, Cllr. Batth discussed the issues of policing directly with Christian Bunt who in turn was instrumental in agreeing to police the whole of Shinfield North by Wokingham police.
Parry welcomed the change, saying, “The discussions were constructive and helpful. This is a positive step forward and will help the understanding of the residents.”
