John Redwood went to see the Smiths Crossing again this week for his follow up with Network Rail.
John brought together local residents and the railway management to discuss how they can keep the crossing safe for the authorised users whilst cutting the noise for local residents.
The Smith Crossing warnings are part of a wider problem with the local railway where it runs through residential areas, as warning sounds are very disturbing to residents in several parts of town.
John will report back as soon as Network Rail have designed a better scheme or offered some other reply to the points made at the recent meeting.
