Conservative controlled Wokingham Borough Council have rejected a planning application for 150 new homes near Watmore Lane.

Local campaigner Lee Gordon-Walker welcomed the news, saying “The developers submitted a badly thought through application without taking into account residents’ concerns about extra traffic.  I am relieved that it has been rejected and will continue to fight against unsustainable development in Winnersh.”

The proposal was denied by Conservative controlled Wokingham Borough Council, however the developer still has the right to appeal.  Lee will keep you updated of any further news and will continue to work with Cllr Philip Houldsworth to fight against unsustainable development.
