Conservative controlled Earley Town Council has started work on the new Pavilion in Sol Joel park.

Councillor Pauline Jorgensen commented, "We have now saved up quite a bit of cash towards the scheme and we have also borrowed some money from the public works loan board at very low rates.  The upshot of the funding arrangements and the estimated running costs of this much more modern building is that we believe that we will be able to run it without a detrimental effect on the level of council tax for Earley residents.£
