At the Planning Committee meeting on 27th March, permission was granted for a new, single-entry form primary school on Smith’s Walk.

Emmbrook Councillor Chris Singleton sits on the planning committee and voted in favour of the new school.  Chris stated that, “This will provide much needed capacity and enable Wokingham to maintain its high standard of education in Emmbrook.”

The school will open in September of this year.  Over many years Emmbrook councillors have pressed for the Emmbrook secondary school to be retained and its future has now been secured.  We are delighted, particularly as the school has now achieved an improvement from satisfactory to good in the latest Ofsted report.
